Room Rate - Special room rates of $149.00 (single) and $159 (double) are available for AAHGS conference registrants. The conference room rate is available beginning on Monday, October 12 through Sunday, October 18, for individuals who want to arrive early to conduct personal research or attend the pre-conference tours (October 13-15). There is a sales tax of 13.3% on each guest room. The daily rate for on-site parking is $17 for self-parking and  $27 for valet parking.

The deadline for receiving this room rate is September 24, 2015. Please Note: Even though the rate is available until September 24, the rooms may not be, the room block could be met prior. To assure you have a room, make your reservation early and if you cannot attend, you always have the option of cancelling.

Transportation - Richmond International Airport (RIC) is serviced by several airlines. The hotel does not provide shuttle service to and from RIC which is 12 miles and approximately 15 minutes away. Estimated taxi fare is $30 one way. Amtrak service from the northeast corridor is available to two Richmond stations: the suburban Staples Mill Road Station (RVR) and the downtown Main Street Station (RVM). Taxi service from Staples Mill Road is approximately $25 one way; from Main Street Station it is less than $10.

Cancellation Policy - All conference registration cancellations must be in writing and postmarked no later than 1 August, 2015. All cancellations will be subject to a $50.00 processing fee.
