AAHGS 2021-22 NOMINATIONS AND ELECTIONS
AAHGS 2021 ELECTION CYCLE IS NOW OPEN
As we approach the next decade, genealogy societies are evolving and so it is with AAHGS. To enable our society to move to the next level we need members to assume national leadership roles. The goal is to have a skills-based executive board that can lead AAHGS into the future.
So, do you have the skills we need?
- General Management/Project Management
- Strong Writing
- Technology Savvy
- Resource Development
- Nonprofit experience
Nominees must have been a member of AAHGS a minimum of two years.
If you love AAHGS and would love to see our society play a larger role in the overall genealogy community consider running for office. we would welcome your nomination. All are two-year positions. The roles and responsibilities are posted on the AAHGS website in the Members portal.
Nominations are open from July 6-August 6, 2020.
The officers up for election in 2021 are as follows:
The “Nomination and Candidate Statement” must be completed, submitted and received by AAHGS no later than midnight August 6th for each candidate being nominated. Nominations will not be accepted after that date. All statements must be submitted by electronic mail or first-class mail to the attention of the Nominations and Election Committee only. Nomination forms can be submitted either to firstname.lastname@example.org or mailed to AAHGS Nominations & Elections Committee, c/o P. O. Box 6294 Columbia, MD 21045
